Hey, Team Owllo here.
If you’ve spent any time with AI, you’ve probably had thoughts like these. “I wish this thing knew the world I’ve built for my novel.” “An AI that actually understands how I work would save me so much time.” “What if I could just feed it everything I have and let it learn?”
Owllo Teacher is the answer to all of that.
A teacher and a student
The setup is straightforward. Two AIs work together: a student AI and a teacher AI.
You pick the student AI you want to train. Then you give it material. Web novel drafts, PDFs, chat logs, work manuals. Anything with text in it works. Drop in an ePUB, TXT, or PDF file, or paste a URL and Owllo will pull the content automatically. From there, the teacher AI analyzes everything and trains the student into something new. An AI that understands your data and can talk from inside it. You even get to name it.
Two ways to teach
If you have material but no idea how to structure a training process, use auto learning. Upload your files and the teacher AI handles everything: analyzing the content, building the training data, running the session. No prep work, no AI knowledge required.
If you want more control, manual learning lets you upload a CSV file built from question-and-answer pairs. You’re essentially telling it: “When someone asks this, respond like this.” Chat logs and glossary-style data are supported too. It’s the right option when you want to shape the AI’s responses precisely.
You can also skip the training step entirely and just extract a dataset. Upload your material, have the teacher AI analyze it, and save the output as a dataset to edit later or use with a different model.
Training takes time. Let it run overnight.
Training an AI is not a light task. It uses a significant amount of your computer’s resources, and depending on how much data you’re feeding it, the process can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days.
Owllo Teacher has a scheduling feature for exactly this reason. Set the hours when you’re not using your computer, and training will kick off automatically during that window. Start it before you go to sleep, wake up to a finished AI. You’ll get a notification when it’s done.
You can track progress in real time from the Training Status tab: current percentage, estimated completion time, all in one place.
Anyone can build an AI now
Not long ago, training your own AI model meant a research lab or a large company, expensive GPU servers, a data engineer designing the pipeline, weeks of compute time.
Owllo Teacher compresses that down to: upload your files, give it a name, hit start. On your own computer, with your own data, building something that’s entirely yours. That’s available to anyone now.
