Today we want to introduce Owllet.AI
Think of it as an app store, except instead of apps, you’re picking AI. Models, skills, services — all in one place, all installable directly into your Owllo with one click.
Three things you’ll find in Owllet
First, AI models. Open-source heavyweights like Google’s Gemma, Meta’s Llama, and Microsoft’s Phi, alongside models trained for specific purposes and officially tuned models built by Team Owllo. Each listing shows you the model size, what it’s good at, its rating, and how many times it’s been installed. Finding something that fits your machine and your use case is straightforward.
Second, AI skills. Skills are plugins that bolt new capabilities onto your installed AI. Real-time translation, document summarization, code review — add a skill and your AI can use it immediately. There are official skills from Team Owllo, and the library will grow with community-built custom skills too. (None of those yet, but we’re hoping you’ll change that.)
Third, AI services. This one is interesting. Other Owllo users can run specialized AIs from their own machines and share them publicly, so you can try them out without installing anything. A movie recommendation AI, a coding assistant, a relationship advice AI built by someone who really knew what they were doing. You get to benefit from the work someone else put in. We’re expecting this section to open up within the next week or so.
Team Owllo tests everything
Every model and skill that goes up on Owllet gets evaluated by our team first. We check real conversation samples, response quality, stability, and language support. Anything we’d actually recommend gets an “Owllet Pick” tag. If you’re not sure where to start, just follow the tags.
One click and it’s in Owllo
Find something you want, hit install. It downloads automatically, registers in Owllo, and is ready to use right away. You can also access Owllet directly from inside Owllo, so if you’re mid-conversation and realize you need a specific skill, you don’t have to go anywhere. Owllo and Owllet stay connected.
You can publish too
Owllet isn’t just a place to consume. If you’ve built a model, created a skill, or trained an AI you’re proud of, you can put it up and share it with the community. If it does well, you can even charge for it. The goal is for Owllet to be a space where people who use AI and people who build AI end up in the same room.
